Travel weekend 1: Rosignano Marittimo

My first travel weekend I went with a group of friends to Rosignano Marittimo. We were all exhausted after finishing up our Disegno course, so our plans for this travel weekend were to go somewhere relaxing. I booked an airbnb by the water which was beautiful. It had one of the best views of the sunsets i’ve ever seen. I met a nice guy that paints for a living and bought a small painting to keep as a souvenir from my time here. We made and ate our meals together in the airbnb and also laid out in the sun. On our last day we enjoyed a nice lunch right on the water and then made our way to the train station. Everything about the weekend was very relaxing until we found out that our train was cancelled due to a train strike going on in Italy. Thanks to our nice taxi driver he was able to drive us to the Florence train station and we were lucky to have still caught out train. This was definitely a memorable memory that I hope I don’t have to experience again during my time here. Let me say our group worked well under pressure though.
