Large Drawing Progression✍️
This was one of the most enriching experiences. As this project wrapped up it was bittersweet. I don’t think I’ve ever been as devoted to a piece of work before until this assignment. Many late nights covered in Deconte (conte) later and i’m officially coming to a close. Here’s a fun story to share. On one of our final nights in the studio one of my friends asked me if I knew that what we were using was called “conte”. To my knowledge the whole month of class I though it was Deconte. Everyone just thought I was saying “the conte” hehe. Anyways throughout this process I work on scene at a spot around Orvieto. This spot ended up being a perfect location. From the get go I was committed to incorporating a cat into my drawing. Animals have always been a safe place for me and the cats here remind me of my fur babies back home. The cats in Orvieto are well loved and hold a special role in this beautiful place. When I was working a cat had jumped onto of the car and I was able to capture the moment right in time to sketch it in! I’m proud of how far this came and through the struggle I’m proud of pushing through. I knew since day one I wanted to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone and this project did that in all the best ways. Diesgno will be a class I will for surely hold dearly to my heart. One of the most rewarding and enriching experiences not only as an artist but as an individual.
