A passion for travel
Welcome to my blank canvas nomad blog! Here’s a chance to get to know a little more about me. I’m currently a student at Dordt University perusing a double major in Psychology and Art with the goal of becoming an art therapist after grad school. I have a deep passion for the creative and have always gravitated toward art and dance to overcome any challenges life throws at me. Someday, I want to be able to assist others by using different art modalities to guide them in their own healing journey. My love of dance granted me a scholarship opportunity to become part of the Dordt University dance team. Currently I’m missing out on our competition season in order to be part of Gordon College’s study abroad art program. It was a really difficult decision to make because I pride myself in being part of a team but I also truly believe that what you learn out in the world is just as important as what you learn in the classroom. Over the next five months I will be studying abroad in Orvieto, Italy. I’ve decided to create a blog about my experiences, and sure to be adventures, so that you can join along with me. I’m super excited, and let’s be honest, maybe a tad nervous to embark on this new chapter of immersing myself completely into a new culture. My hope for this journey is to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknowns with integrity, grace, and a whole lot of faith! Let the journey begin.
